DIRS Laboratory Organization

The DIRS Lab is managed using a matrix approach where faculty and senior research staff manage programs to generate research results, student thesis and meet sponsor requirements. The research staff, organized into three overlapping groups managed by group leaders, supports the needs of the research programs. The Laboratory of Imaging Algorithms and Systems (LIAS) is a parallel laboratory within the Center for Imaging Science which also conducts remote sensing research typically with a more user oriented engineering scope. DIRS and LIAS have several joint endeavors.
