Research Interests

My remote sensing research interests include integrating remote sensing and environmental models using numerical data assimilation techniques. The goal is to develop persistent simulations that adjust to new remote sensing and ground data as it becomes available. Other interest areas are remote sensing of water quality, remote detection and monitoring of wildland fire, and feature extraction from hyperspectral data.

Brief Description of Your Work

My recent research deals with models of environmental processes and methods for assimilating remote sensing data into those models. Application areas have included water quality and wildland fire monitoring.
